The South Shore Warriors 17U team compete in the recent Massachusetts AAU State tournament and came away with the State Title.  The team went 3-1 in the event, held at Mass Premier in Foxboro and took home the title with a 67-56 win over the RFK Renegades, lead by Chris Tzimorangas’ 21 points and 11 each from Sam Whittle and Brian Maguire.  The team opened up the tournament with a double overtime loss to the RFK Renegades 59-54, but bounced back to defeat the PAL of North Central Mass 59-58.  In the semifinal game on Sunday, the Warriors defeat the MYCW 56-47 behind a team effort.  Dylan DeBettencourt and Jalen Lopes provided some much needed defensive pressure, while Sal Sillari and Cyfief Kenku added to the weekend scoring. Cam Jones and John Deeley provided a spark when they entered the games and contributed to the team success.

This was the 4th tournament title for the team in the 2016 Spring AAU season, and the team is scheduled to compete in the 2016 AAU International Championship in Orlando, FL in late July.
